A. N. Yellappa Reddy was appointed Deputy Conservator of Forests at Maastikatte Nursery in Uttara Kannada District.After discovering Tulsi Gowda’s true potential, he guided and nurtured her as her mentor.
In 1986, Shri. A. N. Yellappa Reddy’s name was suggested for the Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshamitra Award, but he kindly declined the award and entrusted and passed the honor to Tulsi Gowda, who received the award in Delhi.
